Eleven School Administrators Finalize Ranking List of Teachers

Eleven school administrators stayed in the Indanan South District Office today, June 26, 2015 for the finalization of their respective Ranking List of Teachers - II, Teachers - III and Master Teacher - I. This was in compliance with the mobile messages sent by Dr. Joel A. Alamia, Sulu Division Coordinator for Araling Panlipunan per instruct of Dr. Tim J. Undain, Schools Division Superintendent. Dr. Alamia advised the District In-Charge of ISD that the said Ranking List of Teachers should be submitted on or before June 26, 2015 in response to the urgent requirement for the grant of Performance-Based Bonus (PBB).

Ranking of teachers at the school level was first to happen in the history of Indanan South District schools. I guess, even in the entire district of Sulu Division. Thus, availability of ranking template as well as its basis for calculation remained unknown.

"I hope, Sir formbat for it is available in the ISD Office," Mussah A. Arabain, Head Teacher - III of Panglima Ahajan Elementary School and Annex replied the forwarded mobile message.

"Yes, we may use the format of Ranking for School Heads that can be found in the district file School Year 2007-2008," the DIC confirmed.

The DIC spent a night online searching for the template of Ranking List of Teachers. Alhamdulillah, he was able to find it as well as the DepED Order commensurate to the urgent required report of the Division Office. It was DepED Order No. 66 s. 2007. So, there were three kinds of form available. One was from Dr. Alamia, One was from Dr. Abdulnaser J. Adala, ALS Supervisro/Indanan North District Caretaker and Chairman of the Division Ranking Committee. The third one was found in the internet by the DIC. A bit of confusion for the right template to be used crossed the minds of school administrators. The DIC finally decided to use the template from the Chairman of Division Ranking Committee. Additional basis for computation of points was share by the Division Chairman Committee on Ranking. It was Regional Memorandum stipulating the number of points under teacher's education stated in the following numerical equivalent:
  • Full-fledged doctor - 20 points
  • Full-fledged MA - 15 points
  • 27-unit MA - 10 points
  • 18-unit MA - 9
  • 9-unit MA - 7
  • Undergraduate - 6
The first to submit finalized Ranking List of Teachers was Jurmainna H. Hunding, Head Teacher - III of Bunot Elementary School and Annexes. She submitted it for DIC's signature yesterday. The last to submit for DIC's signature today was Josefina S. Ajijul, Master Teacher - I and School Caretaker of Panglima Mammah Elementary School, Model Of Excellence School under the subsidy of Books for the Barrios overseen by Nancy Stowe Harrington.

The DIC asked favor from Faisal A. Kadil, Head Teacher - III of Pasil Elementary School and Annexes to print the transmittal for the en banc Schools' Ranking List of Teachers and its consolidation and segregation into division and district file. Both of them did it hurriedly in order to catch up the time for submission. Unfortuately, they arrived at the Division Office at four o'clock in the afternoon when all the personnel were no longer found except Dr. Farouk B. Yunu, Education Program Supervisor for Physical Education and School Sports, who was already at the gate of the Division Office. Hence, submission of Schools' Ranking List would be set to Monday, June 29, 2015.
