HELLO, MY TREASURED GUESTS. . .

ISD Favicon
Originally, I am Indanan District playing the role of education service provider in the 34 barangays of Indanan Municipality, Province of Sulu, Philippines since the American period in the Philippines as early '40s. As far as American education is concerned, popular schools were established by American Government in my areas particularly in the place where the owner of my name lived those days. My schools produced lots of professionals in the different fields of studies. No matter what degrees they obtained from their college days, it was the fruits of their sacrifices and triumphs as they satisfactorily completed their elementary and secondary levels of education in my area of jurisdiction.

I got my name after the prominent man leading the municipality for several years from Sultanate peace time up to the American regime. That man was one of the panglima of Sultan. Thus, my central school got the name Panglima Indanan Central School located in Lampaki, sitio of Barangay Licup. In terms of governance, Panglima was omitted and district was annexed after it - Indanan District. Later, I became Indanan South District in 2001 during the reign of District Supervisor, Sildajan J. Jamiri. It happened because the Schools Division Superintendent of Sulu, Dr. Hja. Amy U. Malbun, CESO locally divided some of her districts under DECS (Department of Education Cultures and Sports) which was also changed into DepED in the same year. One of those districts divided was yours truly. The other side of myself became Indanan North District. It was the newly-created district in the municipality. As if, I remain Mother District until today. The Indanan North District was also supervised by the newly-installed Principal In-Charge, Ibnoraji S. Hajiri. Though partition of the two districts already occurred, The house of leadership still belonged to the Mother District. However because of generosity of yours truly, the Mother District still shared with Indanan North District while waiting for him to establish his own district office. We functioned well educationally in the same office located at Km. 2, Kajatian, Indanan, Sulu constructed right after Martial Law during the time of Precilla Balbuena, the District Supervisor.

Since then, my schools reduced to only 18 schools sited at Tagbak, Timbangan, Adjid, Bunot, Licup, Poblacion, Langpas, Manilop, Panabuan, Karawan, Panglima Misuari, Pasil, Sapah Malawm and Paligue. I was not given school in Barangay Kajatian rather my school started with the following names and its corresponding barangays or location:
