October 7, 2016 in the ISD Office, District Learning Forum on the upcoming semestral break activities and District Meet 2016 was attended by the 15 school heads, school sports coordinator and teachers trained in the recent seminars. The major topic to be presented in District LAC would be the Early Language Literacy and Numeracy Program targeting Kindergarten to Grade 3 learners and teachers.
Districtwide LAC on ELLNP is necessary for the
reason that there are still two elementary schools and five primary schools
failed to participate in the regionwide conduct of said training workshop at
Cecile's Pensionhouse, Tumaga Purcentro, Zamboanga City. Yet, participants were just one school head and one teacher from every selected school. Three teachers need the echo for every school. Participating school heads suggested just to conduct SLAC for that matter but PSDS insisted so that those failed to attend the training would also be benefited. Besides, semestral break is not a rest for the teachers. It is only for the students. It is also the right moments for the district to refresh teachers and personnel concerning professional and instructional advice on matters relative to teaching profession.
New TOS (Table Of Specification) would also be discussed during District LAC. Alnasvier I. Abduljalil would be the top facilitator on it.
Conduct of District Meet 2016 was finally discussed as thelast topic of the DLF. Schedule was from November 8-10, 2016 in the sense that SDS announced during the Division Policy Conference that SPAAM 2016 would be on the third week of November. PSDS Sam told the IMSB meeting that District Meet 2016 would be synchronized with municipal anniversary once the SPAAM 2016 would be moved to December. School Board members agreed on the synchronization. Fortunately, SDS reset SPAAM 2016 to December as reported by Tony K. Asanji, Secondary School Principal of Indanan National High School to PSDS Moore. Tony would really want to have a joint palaro with ISD and anniversary. Thus, Joint 111th Indanan Municipal Anniversary & Palaro 2016 would be from November 21-25, 2016.
