On-going Additional School Shack Construction in Cmdr. Bara Jalaidi ES

It was just before the core date of Brigada Eskwela, May 28, 2018 when the TIC of the school, Nagdar U. Sasapan started the construction of school shack in partnership with his ever-supportive parents, community members and barangay officials headed by Aksan Mudjamil of Barangay Karawan, Indanan, Sulu.

In 2016, Nagdar U. Sasapan, in coordination with barangay officials, parents and MNLF Cmdr. Biting Jalaidi with Utu' Abi, active MNLF Commander, too, officially placed the settlement of Cmdr. Bara Jalaidi Primary School into her original site location from Barangay Panabuan to Barangay Karawan. With all the supports of community, 2-unit school shack was erected for the accommodation of Kindergarten-Grade 3 students. It was constructed out local materials such as bamboo and nipa leaves serving as roof the canopy.

Later, the long-abandoned school building constructed in 2001 was renovated through the assistance of many education stakeholders particularly the international NGO, Asia America Initiative piloted by Prof. Albert M. Santoli. AAI President heartily adopted the school in addition to Kasambuhan Village Elementary School and other schools in Indanan South District. Prof. sent not just books to Cmdr. Bara Jalaidi PS but lot of assistance donated to school both cash and kind.

In 2017, the TIC decided to elevate the school from primary to complete elementary status. As a sign of success of the school, Nagdar U. Sasapan did the turn-over and presentation of his Grade 6 graduates to the official representative of the Schools Division Superintendent last April 2, 2018.

Presently, the TIC would be too busy in monitoring and supervising the construction of another school shack for the accommodation of many incoming enrollees and facilities of the school.
