1-Day Brainstorming Workshop for School Heads and Mentors

1-Day Brainstorming Workshop for School Heads and Mentors happened in ISD Office, Km. 2, Kajatian, Indanan, Sulu last July 31, 2018. The workshop focused on strategizing the 3-Day District Policy Conference that would be held at Timbangan ES GEM Multi-purpose, Timbangan, Indanan, Sulu from August 6-8, 2018. It also included designing of itinerary visit of Prof. Albert M. Santoli, President of Asia America Initiative.

Andrada M. Asid, T-III/TIC of Panglima Indanan CS discussed with the school heads how the 2-Day Echo on Teaching Reading in Mother Tongue and Bridging Process for Kindergarten and Grade 1 Teachers be facilitated and presented to all selected participants, the School Heads, Grade 1 teachers and Kindergarten teachers. She would facilitate the lecture for the school heads in separate session hall; Annadzma J. Adong lectured for Grade 1 teachers; and Anariza J. Hussam presented for the Kindergarten teachers. At the end of day 2 (August 7, 2018), closing program for the 2-day echo would be expected and certificates of participation should be distributed.

PSDS Moore asked every school head to write words or phrases on the bond paper with pilot pen what they learned from Special Defense and HR Summit 2018. It turned out to different topics that should be flashed in the PowerPoint on August 8, 2018.  Faisal A. Kadil would discuss school grievance; Melda I. Adug would tackle teachers concerned; Mussah A. Arabain would discuss Form 6; Hja. Nalda J. Muksan would present issues and concerns on slow readers; Sharifa Mharrojheanne A. Alih would present unified remedial teaching module; Alyasir A. Hussam would show slides on how to have vacant teachers; Nagdar U. Sasapan would present SIP (School Improvement Plan); and Alnasvier I. Abduljalil would give SOSA (State Of the School Address).

Another activity in the 1-day brainstorming workshop was the construction of itinerary for Prof. Albert M. Santoli's visit to 5 schools chosen for transformative classrooms plus Mukammali ES and Kasambuhan Village ES. It emerged that Prof's visit would start with Pasil ES, Manilop ES, Poblacion ES, Panglima Indanan CS and then the team should stay a while at Bunot ES for lunch before finally proceeding to Kasambuhan Village ES.
