ISDian Gongers in Teacher's Wedding Celebration

A man in a white hat was District In-Charge, Faisal A. Kadil who led the ISDian gongers in the wedding celebration of teacher. Most of them were ISDian school heads. In the kulintangan, Sir Alnasvier I. Abduljali, TIC of Lugmah Elementary School played different melodies to suit the other accompaniment.

In time of Supersam in ISD, he encouraged school to revive all the native instruments of Tausug particularly the gongs and kulintangan. Thus, some parents who were expert in gongs appeared during Indanan South District Meet parade playing along the highway towards Pasil Elementary School where usual opening program and venue of the ISDM was held.

In the school level, Poblacion Elementary School and Manilop Elementary School loved to play the native instrument of Tausug. Students learned to play those instruments. Gongers of those schools used to entertain visitors with their gongs.

Prof. Albert M. Santoli appreciated much those gongers of Poblacion Elementary School where he spent some moments of his official visit to ISD before he conducted room-to-room inspection of the utilization of the supplies coming from AAI (Asia America Initiative) where he acts as President.
