What a wonderful DepED video scribe is! It started with the seven domains and its corresponding points. A figure of 100% is distributed into the following criteria:
- Education - 20 Pts
- Teaching Experience - 15 Pts
- Specialized Training - 10 Pts
- Interview - 15 Pts
- English Proficiency Test - 10 Pts
- Portfolio/Outstanding Achievements - 10 Pts
- Demonstration Teaching - 20 Pts
Is it hard to hire? Don't worry. That's in national DepED hiring. As an autonomous region, ARMM before hired many teachers in accordance with their own revised criteria and system for hiring teaching applicants. Although there are still remaining applicants who have not been served until today, thousands of new professional teachers are now regularly receiving monthly salaries. Criteria and system that we experienced in ARMM focused on 'waiting system'. Strictness on compliance with the standard criteria set by DepED Central Office was not officially implemented. Perhaps, the reasons behind were:
- ARMM schools were greatly in need of teachers
- More schools in the far-flung areas
- Bangsamoro people were educationally late
- ARMM areas are prone to conflict and violence
- Merit system was not in tradition and practice
Here comes now the BARMM. Many posted in social media that consideration should be taken into account in far as BARMM is just a newly-established government in place of ARMM; therefore; 'waiting system' is still the hope of the applicants.
