Secretary Kulayan's Resignation Creates Asec for Academics

May 22, 2015 marks an astonishing transformation in the leadership of DepED-ARMM, which was called by Asec for Programs and Projects, Dr. Noor Mohammad D. Saada 'Introduction of New Leadership Pool' in his timeline post at Facebook social website. That date was Friday when Hon. Atty. Jamar M. Kulayan abruptly announced his personal resignation from the position of DepED-ARMM Secretary for more than three years. Secretary's resignation created revamp and new position for the DepED-ARMM officials.

Specifically, Asec for Academics is now created to oversee both elementary and secondary levels. Director Marjuni Maddi of the Regional Planning Office has just recently taken oath for office assumption in the newly-created post, Asec for Academics simultaneously with Asec for Operations and Finance, Dr. John A. Magno vice Secretary Atty. Jamar M. Kulayan and Secretary's Legal Officer, Sittie Mariam Ibrahim Balahim vice Dr. John A. Magno. Three of them followed after the recital of Executive Secretary Atty. Laisa Masuhud Alamia in the Office of the Regional Governor today.

In an FB chat message with the Executive Assistant, Alsid Pakam, he and his boos, Asec Noor Saada would turn-over all the programs to the newly-appointed Asec for Academics, Marjuni Maddi. According to Alsid, there might be Special Programs for Asec Noor Saada. As of now, there are three Asecs in the DepED-ARMM.

I also asked Alsid if who took-over the position of Marjuni Maddi. His reply was dependent on the decision of the Regional Governor.

Personnel of the DepED-ARMM has nothing to worry although makeover on the leadership occured based on the FB post of Bureau of Public Information-ARMM that the newly-appointed DepED-ARMM Secretary committed to continue the reform left by Atty. Jamar M. Kulayan.
