DIC: We'll Develop It into ISD Teachers Band

"Utu' Muks, we'll develop it into Indanan South District Teeachers Band," the District In-Charge suggested to Alyasir A. Hussam, TIC of Poblacion Elementary School and Annex.

"Yes, Sir. Ma'am Fina could be the rhythm while I am in the bass and Adzmier in the keyboard," Alyasir positively responded.

This ISD Teachers Band unexpectedly began during the conduct of district post conference at DepED Conference Hall last January 13, 2015. It formed through the expertise of Alyasir A. Hussam, the guitarist and Adzmier J. Bibing, the organist and Teacher - I of Kasambuhan Village Elementary School. Adzmier is was also the vocalist that day. The band made the post conference more live and amazing one in the experience of every teacher and personnel of ISD. Organ and electrict guitar introduced unique rhythm that served as ice breaker for the learning sessions in both morning and afternoon. Teachers who were singers before eventually emerged to release their golden voices. One of those was Faisal A. Kadil, Head Teacher - III of Pasil Elementary School. He showed Tom Jones-like voice in the post conference. Juhnor A. Sanaani, Teacher - I of Pasil Elementary School also entertained the participants with his good quality of voice.

A night before the day of district post conference, Masdida M. Sarabi, TIC and host of the district activity sent text messages to the DIC requesting Alyasir A. Hussam and Adzmier Bibing to bring along with them their musical instruments. So, the DIC forwarded the text messages to the owners of the band and inserted their parts in the program for entertainment and energizers. During break and lunch time, Josefina S. Ajijul, School Caretaker of Panglima Mammah Elementary School could not resist to conceal her skill in electric guitar. At first, she sang many most favorite songs. She is known as songbird of ISD before. Her aptitude in electric guitar; however; remained veiled to all teachers and personnel except when the district post conference camte to reality. The DIC took note many of the teachers would be good singers. Yes, of course, they are teachers who have many-sided roles and talents.

Let's try our best and help one another in developing this ISD Teachers Band as much as possible. Momentarily, we may name this as 'ISD Harmonics'. We can finalize them in the following composition:

  1. Adzmier Bibing - Organist (Keyboard) and vocalist
  2. Josefina S. Ajijul - Guitarist (Rhythm) and vocalist
  3. Alyasir A. Hussam - Lead Guitarist
  4. Faisal A. Kadil - Vocalist
  5. Juhnor A. Sanaani - Vocalist and (Rhythm)
Soon, we can look for drummer from among our teachers or even from our pupils who are trained in drumming lesson. Let's continuously revive our local music in MAPE class.
