When the armed conflict broke out in Mukammali Elementary School, Langpas, Indanan, Sulu that caused the death of one resident and four wounded last November 19, 2017, Prof. Albert M. Santoli, President of Asia America Initiative with established office in Washington, D.C., USA appeared as most proximate responder to the incident.
Before classes ended in December 20, 2017, the AAI President immediately sent funds through ISD-AAI Coordinator, Sharifa Mharrojheanne A. Alih, Teacher I of Poblacion Elementary School at the amount of P 10, 000.00. The finacial assistance would be intended for Poblacion Elementary School, Mukammali Elementary School and Langpas Elementary School children. Poblacion was included in the fiinancial assistance because it was expected that displaced school children would be catered in that said school as experienced before the last day of classes in December, 2017. However, Alyasir A. Hussam, TIC of Poblacion ES told PSDS that he was no longer receive his share sincerely. He wanted Mukammali ES and Langpas ES children to enjoy the funds for school feeding and other school supplies.
Sharifa updated PSDS Moore last December, 2017 that AAI led by Prof. Albert M. Santoli shoulderd the 3 times a week school mass feeding program for both Mukammali ES and Langpas ES. It would started the whole month of January, 2018 without collecting financial counterparts from the parents or schools.
