Coordinator on Health and Nutrition Validates the Reports Submitted by MOBE Schools


Hja. Shar-Husna C. Salim is the designated ISD Coordinator on Health and Nutrition to assist Sharifa in the proper disposal of the funds coming from AAI intended for hygeine, nutrition and other AAI programs and projects in the entire 18 MOBE (Model Of Bawgbug Education) schools of ISD. PSDS Moore advised her to impose strictness over the submission of SF4 before releasing the allocated amount for the first aid medicines. She told PSDS Moore that most of the schools already complied with the requirements that's why some portions of the funds were properly disposed to either school heads or school nurses.

PSDS Sam also assigned her to look into the consolidated nutritional status of the school children in Indanan South Distrit. DepED funds for School-Based Feeding Program caters only school having 15 percent mal-nourished children as reported to Sam by Ased Alfhadar Pajiji. Hence, the implementation of the program has not yet been started until these days.

For AAI School-Based Feeding Program is for the entire students of the selected schools. Prof. Albert M. Santoli wanted to see students, teachers and parents of the locality cooperating and eating together for some weeks in the school campus. It could be his charity for Tausug native especially in Indanan. According to him that he was able to recover from cancer because of the prayer of those people whom he had visited and assisted.


Shar-Husna's stay in the ISD Office while she's not on her activities for the schools she caters is really a great help to Sharifa particularly in the implementation of AAI programs on health and nutrition. She is also responsible for the health and nutrition implementation in Pasil Elementary School, Sapah Malawm Elementary School, Sapie Primary School and Panglima Misuari Primary School. In addition to that, she will be prompted by PSDS Moore in the consolidation reports of all school nurses assigned in ISD schools.

For privacy, as if her district clinic, Shar-Husna C. Salim looks forward for the construction of her clinic beside the ground of ISD Office. Every year, DepED-Indanan South District personnel should undergo medical examination. She will also be responsible for the health exam of teachers, staff and other personnel. Thus, district clinic is badly needed.
