Sir Bernard ENGAGEs with IMSB

At the ISD Office this morning, Sir Bernard S. Tony, On-Site Coordinator of ENGAGE (Enhanced Governance Accountability Engage) financed by USAID convened with all the members of Indanan Municipal School Board. Members in attendance were the following:

  • Samoore S. Ladjahali, DIC
  • Hja. Anang P. Jamiri, ESP I
  • Hja. Ajijaton Mantara, School Nurse
  • Sandara A. Nurmajan, Federation PTCA/SGC President
  • Faisal A. Kadil, ESHT III
  • Alyasir A. Hussam, TIC

The meeting started at around 9:50 in the morning with an opening prayer recited by the Indanan South District In-Charge. Likewise, the DIC continued with an introduction and presentation of the ENGAGE purpose led by Sir Bernard. ENGAGE On-Site Coordinator emphasized the objectives of the program in coming into the Indanan Municipality focusing on education sector and health services in the locality. Primarily, it would aim to look into the SIP of the Indanan Municipal School Board based on the priorities which are also reflected in the schools' SIP and the district action plan as well.

The first agendum taken up was about the expansion and the finalization of representations to compose the members of the Indanan Municipal School Board. Inclusion of the representation of the CSO (Civil Society Organization) and the Secretariats put the expansion of membership into evidence. Before the adjournment of the engagement, the final representations to compose the Indanan Muncipal School Board turned out as follows:

As agreed upon, 1-Day Orientation for IMSB will be conducted at Women's Center, Jolo, Sulu on August 6, 2015. Samoore S. Ladjahali, Indanan South District In-Charge or officially-recognized Co-Chair of the Mayor by the DepED-Sulu Schools Division Superintendent was required to submit consolidated priorities based on the District Improvement Plan of both Indanan North and Indanan South District which also reflects the SIP priorities of the entire schools in Indanan Municipality. Crafting of IMSB plan is expected to happen during the orientation. ENGAGE  will only entertain and provide supports or services which are dependent on the SIP of the IMSB.
