There are 11 elementary schools in Indanan South District. From nearby Jolo to the furthest school of the district, it starts with: 1. Kasambuhan Village Elementary School; 2. Panglima Mammah Elementary School; 3. Timbangan Elementary School; 4. Palan Elementary School; 5. Bunot Elementary School; 6. Panglima Indanan Central School; 7. Poblacion Elementary School; 8. Mukammali Elementary School; 9. Langpas Elementary School; 10. Panglima Ahajan Elementary School; and 11. Pasil Elementary School. Last February 24, 2017, the school administrators/caretakers of those 11 elementary schools convened in the Indanan South District Office in the morning. The topic was about the schedule of the Graduation Exercise 2017. DepED Order No. 8 s. 2017 appeared as the basis of the scheduling of the graduation for this year. DO No. 8 stated that the Graduation Exercises 2017 should be on or before April 7, 2017. It also specified the graduation theme: "SABAY-SABY NA HAKBANG TUNGO SA MAUNLAD NA KINABUKASAN."
PSDS Moore asked school heads to
define how many days to describe the word 'before' April 7. The replies varied
one another. Some described one (1); others described two (2) and few of them
described three (3). The school heads and PSDS located what day would be April
7. They knew it would be Friday. As agreed, Friday would be so important to
parents in so far as Jum'ah Prayer was concerned. Parents in the rural areas
would go to Masjid early in the morning and come back home late in the
afternoon. So, every head of the school preferred to conduct graduation before
April 7. PSDS allotted only three (3) days for the observance of closing
exercises in the entire eleven (11) elementary schools of Indanan South
District. It should start with April 4 and end with April 6, 2017.
