3 Schools of ISD are not on the Roadside of the Indanan-Parang National Highway

Out of 18 schools in Indanan South District, there are 3 schools located further away from the main road of Indanan-Parang National Highway. It is Cmdr. Bara Jalaidi Elementary School, Lugmah Elementary School and Sapie Elementary School.

Cmdr. Bara Jalaidi Elementary School returned to her official site last June, 2016 through the initiative of the TIC, Nagdar U. Sasapan in collaboration with a veteran teacher, Marjin "Cmdr. H-man" J. Madjirul, TIC of Panglima Misuari Elementary School and the ever-supportive Barangay Captain, Aksan Mudjamil of Barangay Karawan, Indanan, Sulu. The school was just from Kindergarten to Grade 3 or incomplete primary status. In the advent of 2017, the TIC decided to elevate the school into complete elementary. Last April 2, 2018, 6 students completed elementary education which was officially pronounced by the PSDS first graduates of Cmdr. Bara Jalaidi Elementary School. The school is about four kilometers away from the main road. It is a recipient school of AAI (Asia America Initiative) led by President Albert M. Santoli.

Lugmah Elementary School is headed by the TIC, Alnasvier I. Abduljalil. The TIC led the return of the school to her official site last March 29, 2018 highlighted by the conduct of Moving Up and Recognition Ceremony of Day Care, Kindergarten and Grade 1 to 2. The school site was completely blank, but Alnasvier I. Abduljalil with his PTA officers and members was able to construct 7-classroom school shack for the accommodation of Kindergarten to Grade 6 students. AAI President Albert M. Santoli sent more funds for the completion of the shacks and plastic chairs. The distance of the school from the main road is about a kilometer away. Lugmah is a sitio of Barangay Bunot, Indanan, Sulu.

Sapie Elementary School is located in Barangay Paligue, Indanan, Sulu. It is headed by the TIC, Faijal I. Andan. Just like Lugmah Elementary School, the road to Sapie was already concreted. However, the concrete road is not connected to the vicinity of the school campus. The road just passes by the barangay hall of Paligue towards Barangay Langpas. The barangay hall is about half kilometer away from the school campus.

The concrete road to Barangay Karawan is not yet started, but the funds, accordingly was already released. In Lugmah, there is a disconnection of the road construction due to non-approval of the landowner. It is about 200-meter distance which is not cemented.

The ISD educators and municipal officials believe that the expansion and strengthening of education in the said three school bring a lot of peace and order situation in the entire Indanan South District.
