Senate Bill No. 1190: 35-student Standard Class Size Act

This Senate Bill No. 1190 is known as Class Size Act. It regulates  class size into 35 students only per classroom in all public schools. However, this bill is still pending in the Committee since November 26, 2019. It was filed by Sen. Grace Poe on November 25, 2019.

What causes pending for this bill enactment into a law? Are the members of the committee busy deciding and voting for other senate bills which need more immediate actions than Class Size Act? What challenges will Government of the Philippines face in the event this Senate Bill No. 1190 shall be put into a law for the Department of Education? How do teachers explain the significant contributions of this act towards addressing the on-going deterioration of students' performance in national and international assessments?
