PSDS Assisting TICs Establish School Office

On the First Day of Classes, PSDS Moore escorted by Naser L. Assil, Ditrict Property Custodian and Alyasir A. Hussam, TIC of Poblacion Elementary School visited all the schools handled by those newly-installed Teachers In-Charge (TIC). He started with Dayuan Primary School and Annex, Lugmah Primary School headed by TIC, Delda J. Amdan, Panglima Misuari Primary School headed by TIC, Nagdar U. Sasapan and Manilop Primary School headed by TIC, Kauzar I. Jawang. The purpose of the visit was to monitor the proper organization and observance of classes and establishment of school offices by the newly-installed TICs.

For Dayuan Primary School, observance of classes was quite alright and there was already school office existed and made of local materials during the time of Alyasir A. Hussam. In Manilop Primary School, the school office was occupied by the Kindergarten learners. In Panglima Misuari PS, PSDS Sam strongly suggested to Nagdar U. Sasapan to talk with the Barangay Chairperson over the utilization of deserted Barangay Health Center for school office since there was no longer available vacant classroom.

PSDS Moore arrived Sapah Malawm Primary School at around 1:30 in the afternoon. After doing room-to-room class inspection, He asked the TIC where his school office is. Faijal I. Andan smiled and answered that he would plan for it later. Sir Moore saw one vacant classroom. The windows would need repair and proper cleaning. He called the TIC and advised him to make partition in the middle of the dilapidated classroom. The monitoring team helped the TIC fixing the room intended for school office. Sir Sam wanted to capture photos of the TIC sitting in his school office. Fortunately, table came inside and followed by a an armless plastic chair. Sir Moore told the TIC of Poblacion Elementary School and District Property Custodian to stand on both sides of TIC, Faijal I. Andan sitting behind the table. Several pictures were captured.

After a week, PSDS Sam and Naser L. Assil made a follow-up visit to Panglima Misuari Primary School and Sapah Malawm Primary School last Thursday, June 30, 2016. To their surprise, the TIC sat on his school office which was temporarily set during the first day of classes. It looked improving. The monitoring team thought that it was just for picture taking but it became almost-permanent school office. The other side of the office was also designed remedial classroom by TIC, Faijal I. Andan. He put chalkboard in the room and equipped with learning materials and devices for remedial classes. The monitoring team gave salute to the TIC for this accomplishment.

For Panglima Misuari Primary School, the TIC failed to borrow the Barangay Health Center for school office. Accordingly, it would be repaired by the Barangay Chairman for operationalization of the Barangay Health Center. Nagdar U. Sasapan did not borrow it for school office rather for classroom when he was asked by PSDS what the answer of the Barangay Chairperson to the request was.
