AAI Counterpart for School Community Library

Prof. Albert M. Santoli agreed with PSDS Moore to put up School Community Library in Indanan South District schools that meet the requirements for partnership. The size of School Community Library is 7 x 9 meters. The flooring is concrete with 4-inch thickness. It has 3-layer hollow blocks around it serving as the foundation of walling made out of local materials like tiyadtad (chopped bamboo) or bula' (Sliced bamboo). Similarly, the post shall be made up of lumber not concrete column. Nipa or woven coconut leaves (Sayrap) is best for roofing. Galvanized iron roof may also be used provided it is within the financial capacity of the stakeholders of the school and its community. Utilization of metal roofing should not cause delay for the completion of the project.

Primarily, the School Community Library aims to safeguard the AAI books that are regularly shipped by Prof. Albert M. Santoli from West Virginia, USA. The 18 schools of Indanan South District are all recipients of AAI books. The books need more shelves for its safekeeping. It may be categorized into English, Science and Math. The School Community Library is in great help for ISD-MOBE schools to  properly arranged the AAI books by grade levels in such a way students easily recognizes it relative to their daily lessons.

Of all the 18 schools of Indanan South District, only 4 schools are ready to apply for AAI School Community Library. It is, namely: 1. Dayuan Elementary School headed by TIC, Delda J. Amdan; 2. Palan Elementary School headed by Principal, Dr. Hja. Sarah Y. Hayudini; 3. Timbangan Elementary School headed by TIC, Masdida M. Sarabi; and 4. Cmdr. Bara Elementary School  headed by TIC, Nagdar U. Sasapan.

Prof. Santoli is now in a waiting mode for PSDS Moore to submit the total cost of the 7 x 9 meters concrete flooring with 3-layer hollow blocks around it.
