Completely Constructed Kindergarten Classroom by Prof. Albert M. Santoli

December 8, 2016, Manilop Primary School, Manilop, Indanan, Sulu was the formal Turn-over Ceremony of a Kindergarten Classroom constructed through the financial assistance of AAI President, Prof. Albert M. Santoli in partnership with BLGU of Barangay Manilop and the school PTA. Prof. Santoli represented by Sharifa Mharrojheanne A. Alih, ISD AAI Coordinator and the Manilop Barangay Chairperson represented by his Treasurer cut the ribbon in the presence of Kauzar I. Jawang, TIC of Manilop Primary School and PSDS Moore. The school PTA President and other officers were also in the scene.

The construction began last July 26, 2016 based on the school site development plan prepared by TIC, Kauzar I. Jawang with her teachers and PTA officers. It looks like a true sub-standard construction made up of local lumbers collected from the different stakeholders like OSY, BLGU, PTA, local carpenters and community members. It is attached to the old public school building which measured the same size.

When the TIC felt shortage, she began to notify PSDS Moore how she would have more donors for the construction. Every angle of the construction was posted by the TIC in Facebook Website where Prof. Albert M. Santoli would always view it until it became a live discussion with AAI President in the ISD Office last August 13, 2016. Firstly, Prof. Santoli committed to have a counterpart of P 40, 000.00. It increased to P 50, 000.00 when he witnessed the participation of BLGU of Barangay Manilop, Indanan, Sulu represented by the Treasurer.

The estimated total cost of expenses was P 70, 000.00. TIC Kauzar calculated the number of her officially-enrolled students in the school. Then, she got the average parents of the learners and she maximized how much counterpart every parent would have to donate for the kindergarten classroom construction. Manilop PS has only one teacher, Nuradal A. Rabbayani, the multi-talented Teacher 1 while the rest is just volunteer teachers. The TIC and Mr. Rabbayani sincerely donated P 1, 000.00 per head. The discussion was online connected by Sharifa to make Prof. Santoli well-updated. Because of the amazing discussion on soliciting more partners, AAI President sent FB message to Sharifa increasing his counterpart to P 50, 000.00. So, that was the time when the partnership was solidly defined to reach the total cost of construction.

On October 10, 2016, Sharifa turned-over the AAI counterpart to TIC Kauzar and the Barangay Treasurer as witnessed by PSDS Moore in AAI Corner, ISD Office, Km. 2, Kajatian, Indanan, Sulu.

Before the Turn-over Ceremony, Prof. donated four boxes of Red Ribbon chocolates worth P 520.00 each. He also asked TIC Kauzar what she needs with Kindergarten learners inside. It referred to Kindergarten tables, chairs and other learning materials.
