Dr. Hji. Kiram K. Irilis, Schools Division Superintendent of Tawi-Tawi Division has complied with his order signed by the Education Minister, Mohagher M. Iqbal of Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education. As SDS, he is to head MBHTE-Sulu Division while SDS Dr. Tim J. Undain-Sanchez moves to Basilan Division and Secondary Schools Director, Fatima Abubakar handles Tawi-Tawi Division.
Sulu is a province where Pandami Municipality, Dr. Irilis' birthplace. Notre Dame of Jolo College was his almamater obtaining the degree of Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education under the 2-year ATTP (Accelerated Teachers Training Program sponsored by Canadian Agencyfrom 1987 to 1989. On his both sides appeared on the thumbnail photo is his classmates, Jayton A. Jama, Education Program Supervisor and Samoore S. Ladjahali, Public Schools District Supervisor. ATTP alumni mostly come from Sulu from 1st to 2nd Batch except the 3rd Batch, where SDS Irilis belonged, mostly came from Tawi-Tawi. Most of the ATTP graduates are now school heads, district heads and division supervisors. They happily and warmly welcomed Dr. Irilis upon his arrival in Jolo Airport. One of those is Faisal A. Kadil, District In-Charge of Indanan South District, whose phtoto appeared in the second clolumn of the first row below. DIC Kadil is so close with SDS Irilis. Dr. Irilis always takes him escort wherever he goes out of his office for monitoring and supervision.
In just few months of leadership, SDS Dr. Hji. Irilis was successful in the implementation of no-collection policy in the school level, district level especially in the conduct of SPAAM (Sulu Provincial Athletic Association Meet) 2019. He made a courtesy visit to all municipalities of Sulu purposely for building partnership with LGUs in the strengthening of municipal school board while he was busy with the Provincial Governor Datu Shahabandar Abdusakur M. Tan for the re-invention of Sulu Provincial School Board in preparation for the conduct of SPAAM 2019. This resulted, for the first time in history of SPAAM to have more financial assistance for expenses of SPAAM. Hon. Governor of Sulu donated P 1M. Mayors of the different municipalities increased their financial assistance for the expenses of the athletes, coaches and chaperons or their respective delegations to SPAAM 2019. Educationally, some municipalities have more than one districts. SDS Kiram advised all district heads to compose only one delegation to SPAAM. Indanan South District was of those merging with Indanan North District which was already happened in 2013. The photo appeared on the center of the column below were DIC Faisal A.
