ISD: School leadership is not a duty but a journey


On the 7th day of August, 2017, 19 school administrators and teachers tighly packed themselves in a hired van from Zamboanga City to Cotabato City purposely to witness the confirmation ceremony of Dr. John A. Magno, Regional DepED Secretary of the Autonomous Region in Musliim Mindanao. It was spearheaded by their Public Schools District Supervisor, Samoore S. Ladjahali.

April 4, 5 & 6, 2017: The 3-Day Graduation Exercises in ISD



There are 11 elementary schools in Indanan South District. From nearby Jolo to the furthest school of the district, it starts with: 1. Kasambuhan Village Elementary School; 2. Panglima Mammah Elementary School; 3. Timbangan Elementary School; 4. Palan Elementary School; 5. Bunot Elementary School; 6. Panglima Indanan Central School; 7. Poblacion Elementary School; 8. Mukammali Elementary School; 9. Langpas Elementary School; 10. Panglima Ahajan Elementary School; and 11. Pasil Elementary School. Last February 24, 2017, the school administrators/caretakers of those 11 elementary schools convened in the Indanan South District Office in the morning. The topic was about the schedule of the Graduation Exercise 2017. DepED Order No. 8 s. 2017 appeared as the basis of the scheduling of the graduation for this year. DO No. 8 stated that the Graduation Exercises 2017 should be on or before April 7, 2017. It also specified the graduation theme: "SABAY-SABY NA HAKBANG TUNGO SA MAUNLAD NA KINABUKASAN."

Nourishing February, 2017


School feeding highlighted February, 2017 in Indanan South District schools. It was two categories. One was SBFP (School-Based Feeding Program). The other one was SMFP (School Mass Feeding Program). These two school feeding programs were quite different from each other in terms of funding agency, target, beneficiary and strategy.
